Richard Middleton
Managing Director
Richard has a wide range of experience in developing and delivering e-learning. He is highly skilled in creating both textual and visual material and in developing elegant and exciting solutions for clients. As Creative Director he ensures that development work at Academy Internet is carried out within a rigorous, tried-and-tested methodology and that the materials created by the team provide users with a meaningful learning experience, as well as having the all-important WOW factor.
Richard specialises in working with clients and subject matter experts to develop e-learning courses in complex subject areas, particularly material aimed at changing learners’ behaviour and attitudes, and material involving unresolved or complex concepts.
Before becoming an e-learning designer in 1999, Richard spent ten years teaching Art and Media Studies at a Sixth Form College. He has an enduring interest in how effective teaching and learning can be achieved with all age groups using technology.
Recent clients include
NCSL, Prudential, LloydsTSB, Watson Wyatt, Fujitsu, National Trust, the MOD, R3, Manchester Metropolitan University and Specsavers.
